Show Dixie College Founders To Be Honored On Dixie Day, March 26th Dixie Day, which has long been observed here as a day to pay tribute to the founders of the Dixie college and to brighten the college emblem, will be held on March 26th. A parade will be held in mid-morning, mid-morning, after which a program will be given in the stake Tab-- Tab-- ernacle. The exact schedule will be announced next week. At sunrise the freshmen and seniors will whitewash the "D", while other classes are cleaning up and doing repair jobs about the campus and on the black hill. This work will precede the parade. Following the program, the classes move to the flat below the "D", where lunch will be enjoyed. en-joyed. The classes will compete in presenting stunts and in giving toasts. In the afternoon some softball games will be played, and the customary "D" Day dance will be held in the evening. Miss VerNell Chamberlain, who was elected "D" queen some time ago, will participate partici-pate with her attendants in the official coronation ceremony. As is customary, the "D" will be lighted with torch fires just before the dance. |
