Show oo ALLIES SHOULD BE MOVING. With the Germans getting ready to strike at Riga, the allies should begin a counter-offensive on the western front. During the winter, the British and French must have accumulated gnat stores of war material on the Somme front and brought up an endless number num-ber of large guns. Hindenburg, hav ing caused a retreat of twenty milos, the allies must cover the Intervening space with railroads and move forward for-ward all their heavy artillery a most prodigious task. Now, if the allies cannot suddenly turn north from Arras and concentrate concen-trate for quick action on the line from Arras to Ypres, they must consume much valuable time in getting ready to attack the St, Quentin line But they must start to hammering immediately anil the harder they pound at the German defenses, the greater will be the prospect of preventing pre-venting a disaster on the Russian front. The month of April will disclose the comparative strength of the allies and the central powers and give a fair idea of whether the war is to go on for another year or two. |
