He enters Training Center on Ihe Missionary farewell will be held July 8 at a.m. at the Grove-9t- h Ward Chapel, 455 East 200 South, Pleasant Grove. All friends and relatives are invited to attend. Those who wish to visit with Jeff may do so after meeting at his home, 739 E. 200 South. Jeff graduated from Pleasant Grove High School and has been attending Utah State University. Kent Hone Elder Kent Hone, son of Mr. and Mrs. Merrill Hone, 1130 W. State Rd., Pleasant Grove has recently returned from the Missouri, Independence Mission. He will be reporting on his mission Sunday, July 8, at 9 a.m. at the Pleasant Grove Fifteenth Ward located in the Timpanogos Stake Center at 800 N. 100 West, Pleasant Grove. The family wish to invite all friends and relatives of Elder Hone to come and enjoy the highlights of his mission. Gary Jarvis Elder Gary Jarvis, son of Lynn and Pauline Jarvis, recently returned home from the Peru Lima North Mission. His homecoming will be Sunday, July 8, in the Timpanogos Stake Center, Second Ward, at 2 p.m. He would like to invite friends and relatives to attend the meeting. Also there will be an open house at his home Sunday afternoon and evening to visit with everyone. Kevin Phipps Elder Kevin Phipps, son of Mr. and Mrs. Howard Phipps, will report on his recently completed mission on Sunday, July 8, at 2:15 p.m. in the Lindon Second Ward, 590 W. 200 S., Lindon. Elder Phipps is returning from the Cardoba Argentina LDS Mission. All friends and relatives are invited to his homecoming. David Mayfield A welcome home for Elder David Mayfield will be held Sunday, July 8, at 1:20 p.m. in the Pleasant Grove Fifth Ward, 275 E. 500 S. Elder Mayfield, son of Mr. and Mrs. William B. Layne J. Butt, Daniel C. Noziska and Alison Leigh Brown were among the more than 1,200 students receiving graduate degrees. Butt recieved his Juris Doctor degree in law. He is a 1977 graduate of Pleasant Grove High School and graduated with a BA from Brigham Young University in 1981. He is married to the former Michelle Gail Brown, also of Pleasant Grove. The Butts have three chldren. Noziska received a masters of business administration degree, a degree he completed through the executive MBA program on weekends. He works for Salt Lake City as a project manager. He had earned a master degree in civil engineering previously from Oregon State University and earned his BS in civil engineering from the University of Wisconsin in Plat-tevill- e. He is married to the former Judy L. Woodbury and they have two children. Brown received her Master of Arts degree in Philosophy. She had previously earned nc BA Uegn-- t m the university in 1981. Her master's thesis was a critique of R. M. Hare's Moral Philosophy. While attending the university, she was a member of Phi Kappa Phi, a teaching assistant in 1982-8- a University Research Fellow in 1983-8- 4 and a recipient of the Graduate Book Award. She is currently an instructor in the University of Utah philosophy department and will attend the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, this fall to work towards her Ph.D. in philosophy. She is married to Steven Leo Harvey, a former Pleasant Grove resident. Fair Poster Contest a Lori Wood, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Doyle Wood of Lindon and a student at Pleasant Grove Junior High School, is the second place 1" winner in the junior division of the Utah County Fair poster contest. She is one of four winners, two in the senior and two in the junior division. First place winners will be on the front and back of the 1984 Fair book. Pvt. Steven B. Marion completes training Army National Guard Pvt. Steven B. Marion, son of Samuel R. Martin of Pleasant Grove, Utah, has completed basic training at Fort Sill, Okla. During the training, students received instruction in drill and ceremonies, weapons, map reading, tactics, military courtesy, military justice, first aid, and Army history and traditions.
