Show ! City pi sins annual fireworks ' After the picnics are over and ( things cool off bring the family to the Pleasant Grove High School football stadium on July Fourth for the annual fireworks display in the night sky. Blaine Gray of the Pleasant Grove Fire Department, which is ' sponsoring the event, encouraged ( citizens to sit on the bleachers or the hillsides near them to best view the fireworks which will begin at about 9:30 p.m. Blaine asked that everyone stay away from the area where the fireworks will be shot off to avoid accidents. Police officers and firemen will be on hand to help give assistance and to remind people to stay away from the little League ball diamonds where the fireworks will be. He also asked that parents not allow children to light their own fireworks in the area as they could fall on the explosives used in the fireworks and cause serious problems. Blaine promised to even have a bigger and better show than that of last year. He suggested that rather than drive a long distance on crowded holiday traffic-filled roads residents could stay at home and see a fine fireworks display. Donations have been made to pay for the fireworks. Those officials on hand will accept further contributions con-tributions during the display or you can send in a donation with your water bill. |
