Show Cuey " "V Earl Wag staff Earl WaKBtaff, 82, died June 26, 1984 in ' Orem. He was bom July 24, 1901 in American Fork, a son of William I. and Esther Borne Wag-staff. Wag-staff. He married Virginia Howe Holm-stead Holm-stead on April 6, 1933, and she died May 4, 1975. He moved to American Fork in 1935 and began farming, raking chickens and Sfieep. He later operated the cement plant for construction of Geneva Steel, and in 1948 went to work for the steel plant and worked until his retirement Surviving are a son, Earl Wagstaff Jr., American Fork; a stepdaughter and stepson,- Mrs. Ha Mecham of American Fork and Richard Holmstead of LeMoille, Nev.; 10 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and six sisters and a brother, Mrs. D.B. (Margaret) Lott and Mrs. Rosa Lott, both of Rodeo, Calif.; Mrs. Virgil (Esther) Carter of Pasadena, Calif.; Mrs. Ida Holdaway of Vineyard; Mrs. Elmo (Edith) Nelson of Pleasant Grove, Mrs. Dean (Lea trice) Willis of Lehi, and Bert Wagstaff of Orem; and half brothers and sisters, Glen Wagstaff of American Fork; Frank Wagstaff of Kaysville; Mrs. Lee (Ruth) .Peterson of Ogden; and Mrs. Paul (Noreen) Taylor of Bountiful. Funeral services were held Friday, June 28, in the Anderson and Stella Nelson Stella Conder Nelson, 89, died at home in American Fork of causes incident to age Friday, June 29, 1984. She was born Aug. 9, 1894, in American Fork, a daughter of James Boyer and Ann Adamson Conder. She married Wilford O. "Ossie" Nelson on Aug. 7, 1916 in Salt Lake City. The marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He died Sept. 3, 1977. She lived in American Fork for all but two years of her life when she lived in Daniels, Wasatch County. After her mother's death, she kept house for her father and two younger brothers. They continued con-tinued to live with her after her marriage until they were married. Her father lived with her until his death. She was active in the LDS Church and served Sons Mortuary Chapel, American Fork. Burial was in the American Fork City Cemetery. in a variety of capacities. During World War II . she served as chairman of a newsletter sent to all the ward's servicemen, including her five sons. She and her husband served as co-chairmen of the Alpine Stake Old Folks Committee for several years. She is survived by -four sons, Ray C. Nelson, American Fork; W.O. (Bill) Nelson, Jr., Twin Falls, Id.; Glen C. Nelson, Las Vegas, Nev.; and Robert K. Nelson, Orem; one brother, Peter Conder, Tooele; 15 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren. One son, James B. Nelson, preceded her in death. Services were Monday, July 2, at the American Fork Stake Center. Burial was in American Fork City Cemetery. Warren Winthrop Fitch r iiin 1 "pbbi". 1 1 ""l , - 1 James DeVere Cook James DeVere Cook, age 19, died June 30, 1984, in a car accident west of Lehi. He was born April 9, 1965 in Price, Utah, to George ... DeVerl and Jean Taylor Cook. He graduated from Spanish Fork High School and was active in the L.D.S. Church. He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Jean Ellis, of Lehi; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Taylor, Lehi; Mrs. Minnei Robinson, Pleasant Grove; brother and sister: Terry DeVerl Cook, Pleasant Grove; and Sandra Dee Cook, Warren Winthrop Fitch, 71, of Pleasant Grove, died July 1,1984 in Provo, Utah. He was bom March 18, 1913 in San Diego, California, a son of Warren Winthrop and Florence Mabel Meech Fitch. He married Dora Price on June 14, 1936 in San Diego, California. The marriage was later solemnized in the Mesa LDS Temple. He spent his childhood days and attended schools in San Diego including San Diego State University. He was a convert to the LDS Church in 1937. He had served in many capacities including Branch President, Bishop, High Council, Sunday School President, Finance Clerk and was presently serving as Ward Clerk in the Pleasant Grove Nineteenth Ward. He had served as an officiator in the Los Angeles and Provo Temples. He had been - employed as a sales representative for Metropolitan Life Insurance Company. Survivors include: his wife, of Pleasant Grove, 4 sons and 3 Lehi. Funeral Services will be Tuesday, July 3 at 2 p.m. in the Wing Mortuary chapel, Lehi, where Mends may call one hour prior to services. Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 5, at 11 a.m. at the Pleasant Grove Nineteenth Ward Chapel, 500 North 700 East, Pleasant Grove where friends may call Thursday one hour prior to services. Interment will be in .the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery. Tina Marie Cook Butcher Beers Card of Thanks Tina Marie Cook Butcher, age 26, died June 30, 1984, in a car accident west of Lehi. She was bom January 29, 1958, in Gunnison, Utah, a daughter of George DeVerl and Jean Taylor Cook. She married Donald Wayne Butcher. She is survived by her husband and two children of Salt Lake City: Donald Lane Butcher, age 5, and Melissa Marie Butcher, age 3; mother, Mrs. Jean Ellis, Lehi; grandparents, Mrs. Minnie Robinson, Pleasant Grove; Mr. and Mrs. Albert Taylor, Lehi; brother and sister, lerry UeVerl Cook, Pleasant Gorve; and Sandra Dee Cook, Lehi Funeral Services will be Tuesday, July 3 at 2 p.m. in the Wing Mortuary chapel, 118 E. Main, Lehi, where friends may call one hour prior to services. Burial will be in the Lehi City Cemetery. The family of Viola Beers wish to thank the many friends, neighbors neigh-bors and family members for 'all the love and sympathy given us at the death of our dear wife and mother.
