Show School, text fees top board agenda The Alpine District Board of Education will hold its monthly business meeting on Tuesday, July 10 at 6 p.m. in the board room located at 39 North Center in American Fork. A public opportunity to address the board on any topic of interest or concern will be provided near the beginning of the meeting. r - Several items are scheduled for action during the session. The board is expected to make a final decision on the grade configuration for the new junior high school to be built in northeast Lehi. The 1000 student facility will house a middle school studentbody or a junior high school studentbody, or a combination of the two based on the decision scheduled to be made on the 10th. Textbook fees are also scheduled as an action item for the meeting. It has been proposed that textbook fees for district senior high students be reduced. At present, upper level students pay $30 each for the use of -textbooks. Additional action items to be considered by the board include: . the formation of a private donation foundation for the district, a policy on the use of school facilities and properties, and the appointment of a person to membership on the Alpine District Public Involvement Council. |
