I did pretty pret-ty good I was high man in our class of 220. I have four more weeks of school work and then two weeks final. Mr. and Mrs. Clark Bishop were! delightfully surprised on Christmas day when their son, Pvt. David C. Eishop came home to spend the day. He returned to his station at Foi-t Douglas, Sunday. Then on New Year's morning their son, Pfc. James Carlos Bishop, came in from Camp Davis, North- Carolina, 1 where he has been for the past 13 weeks. After a nine-day delay en-route en-route he will go on to Camp Haan, California, where he has been transferred. Mrs. Fred Jewkes and son spent Wednesday in Delta. They are liv-. liv-. v ing in Fillmore. Raymond Finlinson phoned his mother from Cedar Wednesday morning saying he is on his way home for a furlough. He is with the merchant marine and stationed at Avalon, Calif. Pfc. Ralph Christensen wired from Cheyenne that he is coming home ror a furlough. His brother will meet him at Salt Lake. He is stationed at Fort Crook, Nebraska. Aviation Sadot Guy F. Shurtz is stationed at the San Antonio Cadet Center, Texas. Grant J.
