Show Mrs. Marjorie S. Briggs Dies After Long Illness Mrs. Marjorie Smith Briggs, 50, wife of Joseph R. Briggs. 32S9 Washington boulevard, died at her home Wednesday at 5:10 p.m. following fol-lowing an extended illness. Mrs. Briggs was born October 25. 1S9.1. in Spanish Fork, a daughter of Richard and Jemima I'.oyack Smith. On December 22. 1913, she was married to Mr. Briggs in Fillmore. Fill-more. The couple made their home in Delta for several months and then moved to Salt Lake City. In 1920 they mov ed to Ogden. whore Mr. and Mrs. Briggs operated the Briggs photographing studio. Since the opening of the C. C. Anderson company store in Ogden until the time of her final illness she had served as a clerk in that establishment. She was a member of the Ogden First L D S ward. Surviving are her husband, three sons and two daughters, Marion Richard Briggs, U. S. army, New Guinea; Jack Boyd Briggs, U. S. army, south Pacific area; Lloyd Darwin and Velda Briggs and Mrs. Jvlaxine B. Bingham, Ogden; one brother and five sisters, James W. Smith, Riverton; Mrs. Elmer Hol-lingshead Hol-lingshead and Mrs. Emmer Lar-gent, Lar-gent, Delta; Mrs. H. A. Maxfield and Mrs. Mima Barnard, Salt Lake City, and Mrs. J. F. Louden, Albur-queique, Albur-queique, N. M. Funeral services were held in Ogden on Monday. |
