Show Schoolmates' Reunion Held New Year's Eve Dinner was served to Mr. and Mrs. Leo Cahoon, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Lyman, Mr. and Mrs. Lylo Bunker, Mr. and Mrs. James Nickle, Cpl. and Mrs. Bernon Christensen, Mr. and Mrs. Verdell Bishop, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Nickle, Miss Carol Godfrey, Mr. Easton Sampson, Miss Vera Bunker, and Mr. Vaughn Paxman at the Hotel Southern Cafe on New Year's Eve, the occasion occa-sion being a reunion that was planned five years ago. At that time it was agreed that ths cirowd would meet during the Christmas holidays in 1943. Easton Sampson acted as toastmaster introducing Lillian Christensen, who gave a toast to the husbands and Lyle Bunker gave a toast to the wives. Vera Bunker recalled a few of the good times the crowd has had during the past ten years and gave a toast to "friends." Frank Lyman gave a tribute to Ensign John Bishop a member of the crowd, who last July, lost his life in an airplane crash. LaRue Nickle gave a toast to the absent members who were Kenneth Gardner of the Army Air Corps, Gordon Barney of the Navy Medical Corps, Glenn Allred of the Navy Air Corps, Ada Moulton, who is all ending the BYU and Joyce Walson of Cedar City. After dinner the group went to the Delta Hall to welcome in the New Year. |
