Show Delta Will Bo Hosts At Conference Spenrer V. Kimball, one of the recently appointed apostles of the I, D S church will be in Delta Sat-1'i'dny Sat-1'i'dny niRht., Jan. 8 and Sunday, Jan. 9, for the Annual Deseret Stake fo.i Terence which is to be held in Delta. Mrs. Kimball, who is the former , C.'iniclle Krying, will accompany I her husband. Mrs. Kimball will be I remembered as a teacher at the Miliard Academy at one time and a! o with Apostle Kimball will be I Robert L. Judd representing the wlTaro work. The first meeting of the eonfer-! eonfer-! enee will be a Priesthood meeting : Saturday evening at S p.m. in the ?':.-! Ward chapel. Muic for this session will be furnished by a doa-coi doa-coi group from the Delta Second Ward and a priesthood group from the Hinckley Ward. Sunday at 10 a.m. the first General Gen-eral Session will be held. This session ses-sion will be devoted to men in the Armed Services. All who are home on furlough Ere invited to attend this session as well as all parents who have boys in the service. The second general session will be at 2 p.m. At. 1 p.m. a welfare meeting will be held in the Delta Seminary building, at which all welfare workers are expected to attend. at-tend. At 4 p.m. a special ward and stake M. I. A. meeting will be held in the First Ward. The Stake Primary under the direction di-rection of President Mrs. Cora Harris Har-ris will give a portion of the program pro-gram Sunday evening at 8 p.m. Apostle Kimball will occupy part of the time. Music for the general session will be furnished by the Delta Second Ward choir under the direction of choir leader Merlin Christensen. One of the features of the conference con-ference will be the sustaining of a new counselor in the State presidency presi-dency to take the place of Rulon T. Hinckley, who has moved to Salt Lake to make his home. The i Hinckleys are expected to be here I for the conference Sunday. I W. O. Robinson, dance instruc- tor will be in Delta Monday to i give instruction in the Deseret I stake. 1 |
