Tho Tribune is glad lo see that the business men of Salt Ialce City aro waking up to the importance of tho Uintah basin country, and (hat a fine delegation from the Commercial Club and from Provo and Ogden will, attend at-tend the fairs at Kooscvelt and Vernal tho present week. The delegations started las: evening for the Uintah country, and it. is certain that they will fiud there oven more than they have been told, of riches undeveloped and partly developed. Tho Uintah j basin is a groat farming region, splendid splen-did for the cultivation of all forms of grain, of fruits, and of everything nee-cssary nee-cssary for tho support of life. It is also a good mineral region, and the aspbnltum deposits there are tho greatest great-est and purest on earth. The prospect for the completion of the Moffat road from Steamboat Springs to Provo and this city undoubtedly un-doubtedly is the inciting motivo for tho visit of the delegations referred to. By tho construction of this road the trade communication botween this part of Utah and the Uintah country will bo direct and eas Heretofore it has boen difficult, tedious, and costly. Wbon that road is finished, tho trado of tha Uintah basin -will bo well worth roaching out for by any or all tho eitios named, and it will bo as fully to the advantage of the Uintah country to havo this business connection. In tho meantime, it is good foresight fore-sight and the part of wisdom to arrange ar-range for tho establishment of these business connections, and the delegations delega-tions rcforrqd to arc rigbtly taking time by tho forelock in ordor to bring Utah points together in trade, friendship, friend-ship, and to tho mutual business profit of all concerned. |
