Show REPUBLICANS HOLD DISTRICTPRIAAIES Select Delegates to Convention Conven-tion Which Will Nominate Legislative Ticket. LIVELY FIGHT IS LIKELY Profusion of Candidates Gives Promise of Warm Contests; Many Indorsed. Republican primaries for the solccllon of delegates to the county legislative convention, to bo held Friday, were held throughout the city and county last night. A healthy interest was manifested in the city districts, though in many of the outside districts the attendance was poor. Most of the delegates were unlnstructed and those who were instructed are so wldoly divided among the aspiring candidates can-didates ' that anything llko an accurate Indication as to what will happen at the convention Is not lo be gathered from the primaries at least. In the senatorial contest Carl Badger and S. J. Stookey, who are seeking re-nomlnatlon. re-nomlnatlon. aro believed to have received re-ceived sufficient Indorsement last night to mako their renomlnatlon comfortably certain. However, there wore several other candidates Indorsed and a warm fight Is likely to take place. Senator C. B. Marks, who wants another term, received re-ceived no Instructed delegates last night, though ln several districts his namo was Indorsed. Karl Hardy. W. J. Burton, Charles Cottrell and H. J. Nelson fared almost equally well ln the matter of Instructions. In-structions. Clarence Bamberger, son of J. E. Bamberger, Bam-berger, who Is a candidate for the lower house, loomed prominently In the primaries.. pri-maries.. Ills nomination Is practically assured. Claude T. Dunyon each received Instructed delegates, Other candidates for the lower house are Thomas Thom-as Jerraud of Taylorsvllle. Marshall A. Breedcn, Jr.. W. IT. Tobias, E. J. Eard-lc-y, William McMillan. W. F. Adams, Daniel MoRae of Granger, W. IT. Wood-ring Wood-ring of Bingham and R. L Judd. Of these, Tobias and McRac are members mem-bers of the existing house, while Eardley was a member of the 1909 legislature. Ten candidates for the house and three for the senate arc to be nominated by the convention. In district IS last night a resolution was adopted indorsing tho recall feature of tho commission form of government and urging Its Interpolation into the state law by tho coming legislature. In tho Thirteenth district Claude Y. Russell resigned as chairman and Fred C. Bus-sett Bus-sett was elected to succeed him. .
