Show Provo To Stage July Fourth Events Four days have been set aside for Provo's Fourth of July celebration, cele-bration, which will begin on Sunday, Sun-day, June 30, with boat racing on Utah Lake, near the mouth of Provo river. On Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, each afternoon at 2 p. m., horse races will be held at the Utah county fair grounds. A total of 70 fine runners will compete in the race events on these days. An open golf tournament for which prizes are being offered, is scheduled at 10 a. m., and will feature a large number of bands and numerous fine floats in addition addi-tion to other special units. A children's program will be iield at Pioneer Park from 4 p. m. to 6 p. m. The celebration will conclude with a show at the B. Y. U. stadium sta-dium in the evening when a car and other prizes will be given away. |
