Mr. and Mrs. Dan Copeland anc little daughter, Diane, of Los Angeles, An-geles, Calif., are visiting at the home of Mrs. Copeland's parents Mr. and Mrs. Roy Cates, in Spring-vllle. Spring-vllle. Mr. and Mrs. Jessie Jackson and twin daughters. Jessie and Jeneal, of Salt Lake City, were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Cates at their home during the week-end. Mr. and Mrs. Alva Zabriskie of Soldier Summit, former Springville Spring-ville residents, visited the past week with their daughter, Mrs. Given Cutler, and family, who recently re-cently moved to this city. The Misses Dorothy and Clara Harmer of this city and Miss Virginia Vir-ginia Clark, formerly of Springville, Spring-ville, now of Salt Lake City, left Monday night for an extended trip in the East on the Challenger. Miss Clark and Miss Clara Harmer will visit in New York City, Washington, Wash-ington, D. C, Chicago, and other points ol interest, while Dorothy Harmer will go from Chicago to Hamilton, Ohio, where she plans to visit with friends. Sergeant and Mrs. B. F. Kraufe are visiting in San Francisco. Mrs. Kraufe was the former Ada Harrison. Mr. and .Mrs. Earl Bishop and Mrs. Birdie Bishop of Salt Lake City, are visiting this week at the home of Mrs. Bishop's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Tom Carter. Miss Rugh Baxter is visiting in Los Angeles, Calif. Etta A. Brandley of Raymond, Alberta, Canada, is visiting indefinitely indef-initely with Mrs. Olive L. Anderson Ander-son and other friends and relatives rela-tives in Springville. Mr. and Mrs. Orval Singleton, accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. Glen Ballinger of Helper and Mr. and Mrs. Howard Strang of Salt Lake City, attended the American Legion Le-gion convention for district number num-ber seven at Cedar City Saturday, after which they visited the Southern South-ern Utah national parks. Mr. Ballinger Bal-linger is State Legion commander and Mr. Singleton is state vice-commander. vice-commander. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Sanford, Lavern, Ina, Carl, and Glen Sanford, San-ford, attended a reunion of the Isaac Soby family held at Mount Nebo in Nephi Saturday. Mrs. Harry B. Wood of Idaho Falls, Idaho, has been visiting the Past week with Mrs. Carrie Jolley and Mrs. Arvil Ence of this city. Mr. and Mrs. Ed Jolley left today to-day to spend the Fourth of July Tlth relatives of Mr. Jolley in Montana. Mrs. Willis K. Johnson Sr., has inst returned home after several "ays spent visiting at Heber City. Miss Barbara Swartsager of San Jse. Calif., is Visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Willis K. Johnson, Jr., and other relatives and friends here. |
