Show FIRST WARD RELIEF SOCIETY PROGRAM TUESDAY Mrs. RuBy TJhristensen will re-view re-view the book, "Mother of the Smiths," by Loraine Carr, at the j regular summer monthly meeting t of the First ward Relief society - members Tuesday afternoon ' Mrs. J. w. Olsen will be in charge of the program, which in addition to the book review will feature a fine musical program. All members and their friends are invited to attend. PAR ANA DA CUB HAS CHICKEN DINNER A delicious chicken dinner with table appointments worked out according ac-cording to a patriotic theme, was enjoyed by members of the Para-nada Para-nada club Monday night at the home of Miss Tonie Fox. Dinner was served early in the evening at one long table centered with red, white and blue delphinium. delphin-ium. Attractive red, white and blue miniature baskets with name cards attached marked places for the guests. The after-dinner program included in-cluded vocal numbers, "My Isle of Golden Dreams," and" "Because," "Be-cause," sung by Annie and Lula Fox. Martin Hiatt of Provo talked of recent experiences on a trip through Canada, the various eastern east-ern cities, and through the southern south-ern states. The Misses Zelma Thorpe, Virginia Simkins, and Fern Ostler, club members, accompanied ac-companied Mr. Hiatt on the trip. In attendance were the following follow-ing members: Mary Boyer, Lois Hales, Virginia Simkins, Zelma Thorpe, Edna Oakley, Nelda Johnson, John-son, Mary Leroy, Fern Ostler, Madeline Weight, and the hostess. |
