Show New lake near Monticello to be fished Fishermen in the Monticello area will have a new lake to fish next year as Field Services crews of the Department of Fish and Game work to complete com-plete construction on the new Foy Lake being built 10 miles west of Monticello on the Man-ti-LaSal National Forest. This new lake is being built by the Fish and Game Department Depart-ment as a fishing water only and should be completed this fall. The lake is located at an elevation of 8,300 feet and will contain 24.5 acre feet of water when it is full. The dam will be an earth fill type and with minimum fluctuation in water level. The construction of Foy Lake is part of the Utah Fish and Game Department's Depart-ment's program of providing fishing in areas throughout the State where only limited fishing fish-ing waters presently exist. Construction on the dam is just beginning after completion comple-tion of clearing and other preliminary pre-liminary work at the area. After 21 years as host of "Art Linkletter's House Party" Linkletter sometimes learns that the children he is interviewing inter-viewing are the offspring of youngsters he interviewed in the program's earlier days. |
