Show Enterprise Mrs. Theresa Huntsman Reporter Floyd Smart, of Tooele visited with friends and relatives here for a few days last week. He was a guest while here of his aunt, Mrs. A. P. Winsor. May Pate has gone to St. George to attend school this winter. win-ter. Mr .and Mrs. Merlin Huntsman have gone to Modena for the winter win-ter where Mr. Huntsman will teach school. Mr. and Mrs. Grant Terry have( returned home from Salt Lake City where Mr. Terry has been attending school for the past month. William T. Truman and son, Heber, made a business trip to Pioche on Tuesday. Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Cannon, Can-non, daughters, Murial and Ail-een, Ail-een, and Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Crook were visitors in town Tuesday. Tues-day. The flower club held its regular regu-lar monthly meeting on Thursday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. A. P. Winsor. There were 16 members present. Mrs. Winsor gave a very interesting account of her trip to the World's Fair in New York City. Each member gave a joke or sentiment as the roll was called. The rest of the time was used to transact club business. It was decided to hold a flower show on September 26. A pot-luck luncheon was served to all present. Anna Staheli, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Staheli and Kenneth Lippold, son of Mr. and Mrs. George Lippold, were married mar-ried September 9 in Pioche. Nev. They plan to make their home in Pioche, temporarily. Mr. and Mrs. Claude Cannon, Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Cannon of St. George, Mr. and Mrs. Bayard Cannon of Central, and Eugene Cannon of Fielding, Utah, were guests at the home of their sister, Mrs. L. W. Huntsman on Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Marion Terry drove to St. George Saturday on a business and pleasure trip. Mr. Terry "took in" the Rodeo while 4.1 uiet e. The people of Enterprise are rejoicing over the splendid rain that has fallen during the past two weeks. Potato crops and other crops are practically assured. as-sured. The big reservoir has even filled to an extent that more water wa-ter is available from that source. George Lytle is home from San Diego, Calif., where he is enlisted in the U. S. Navy. He plans to return there next week. |
