Show Mesquite, Nev. Mrs. D. L. Reber Reporter Miss Verle Allen spent the weekend week-end with her parents in Las Vegas. Mr. and Mrs. Hax Hafen and family attended the Rodeo at St. George, Saturday night. Miss Naomi Fordham, a teacher in the Mesquite grade school, visited vis-ited her parents at St. George over the week-end. Noble Waite and family from Bell, Calif., were here visiting their parents and friends over the week-end. Waite was also a speaker at the Sacrament services in the L. D. S. church in Mesquite Mes-quite on Sunday. The six-six school plan has been in operation in the Virgin Valley for the past week, with the first six grades being held in Mesquite, Mes-quite, and from the 7th to 12th grades inclusive being held in Bunkerville. The teachers of the Virgin valley val-ley elementary at Mesquite are: Mrs. Leah Tobler, First grade, with an enrollment of 35 students; stu-dents; Miss Naomi Fordham, Second Sec-ond grade, with 28 students; Miss Edith Knight, Third grade, with 30 students; Miss Verle Allen, Fourth grade, with 15 students; Grant Hardy, Fifth grade, 32 students; stu-dents; Leonard Reber, principal, and Sixth grade teacher, . with 19 students; John Houston, custodian. custo-dian. The total enrollment for the six grades is 159 students. Both students and teachers are enjoying en-joying their work. |
