Show Transfer Man 'Tells It to the Judge J. C. Slade of the Slade Transfer Co.. 432 Twenty-fifth street, charged with operating mi automobilo without number num-ber plates, was given a five day suspended sus-pended sentence by Judge D. R, Roberts Rob-erts in the city court this morning. Slade alleged that he had painted and repaired a car but had not procured number plates as his present business did not warrant the use of an additional addi-tional car. He said that an emergency arose yesterday In winch he was compelled com-pelled to use the other car. He claimed to have applied to the county for authority to use hla car, and failing fail-ing In this, Bent a cashier's check to tho secrotary of state for license plates. E. R. Chrlstopherson, who was operating oper-ating nn automobile with but one number num-ber plate, was given a five days' suspended sus-pended sentence. |
