STORIES AND EVENTS FROM YOUR NEIGHBORHOOD pyERHEARp IN OREM This is the best the Utah Jazz have done in nearly a decade since the Stockton and Malone era. Why has the team been so successful this year? How far do you think they'll go? fill "I just think they're learning to play better as a team. Young guys that have benefited from Coach Sloan's ex perience. I think they're really pulling together as a team and how they came together with the Derek Fisher situation. You wouldn't find that in a lot of other teams. Actually, I believe they can beat the Spurs. I can see it going seven games." I Stefanie Bruin "I think it's because they've played better as a team. They've gotten better bet-ter players like Boozer and Andrei Kirilenko, but it's more that they're cooperating co-operating better. I wish they could beat the Spurs but I'm not sure they can." ft Richard Wilson "I think it's just their new players, play-ers, a lot of it, and they have more weapons, a lot more 'oomph', I guess you could say. I think they'll do OK, though I don't think they'll go all the way. I think they'll get past the Spurs." ft Sarah Timmerman "I think J it's just their players like 'J DeronWil- Li w liamsand I . h. Boozer. r - r , They're play- . V ; ing better r - J , and just jiv- 1 1 ing together fcj ,f j better. I think they'll get out this round, sadly enough." ft Elizabeth Todd "I have no idea. Now that they're in the playoffs, (I'm following follow-ing them), yeah. I think they have a chance to beat San Antonio. Other than that, I'm not sure." ft Paul Davis "I think they're putting put-ting forward the very best is what they're doing. do-ing. Their strength and enthusiasm is showing. They'll get to the Finals. I think they'll win the Finals." ft Toni Dickson "(Derek) Fisher. It seems like. That's what my son would say. I think they'll go probably seven games then get out, I guess. ft Gretchen Wiltbank "A team bands together to-gether and so they're most likely playing as a team. The team is using its stars to pull togeth er. They lost the first game ... if they could just win three more they'll be all right. They'll definitely win the second game." ft Jessica Fellows The Orem Friendship Center Cen-ter will be closed for Memorial Memo-rial Day, May 28.
