Show Thursday, May 24, 2007 0 R E M TIMES Page 13 Obituaries Lucille Josephine Harris Trane 1923-2007 M k; "A gracious woman retaineth honour" Proverbs 11:16 An elect lady, beloved mother, loving grand mother, great-grandmother, great-grandmother, devoted wife, and faithful faith-ful friend, peacefully passed away on May 19, 2007 at The Courtyard at Jamestown, Provo, Utah. She was an elegant woman, where her beauty emanated from within. Lucille was born May 9, 1923, in Layton, Utah. She was the third daughter of Daniel D. and Jennie Anderson Harris. She grew up in Layton and graduated from Layton High School in 1941. She attended Utah State University in Logan where she met her husband Keith Trane. They were married June 16, 1943 in the Salt Lake Temple. They were loving and devoted companions for 63 years. Her husband died on January 21, 2006. Her walk through this life was dedicated to serving those around her. Lucille was a faithful member of the LDS church. She served throughout her life in various leadership positions. Genealogy was a very important part of her life. She not only did the work for her own family, but she spent over 30 years in the extraction of German names. She and her husband Keith served a mission to London, England, Eng-land, where she loved her assignment assign-ment in the family history center. Lucille enjoyed pursuing many interests. She was an accomplished ac-complished seamstress and loved flowers, gardening, and fishing. She also loved painting and art, and spent many of her later years developing this talent. She will be missed beyond words, but we will always remember remem-ber her ex ample to all of us. She is survived sur-vived by her five children: Terry (Brian) Long-Alpine, Randy (Risa) Trane-Idaho Falls, Idaho, Janice (Corey) Jones-Heber, David (Shelly) Trane-Long-mont, Colorado, Kurtiss (Melanie) Trane-Ogden, 14 grandchildren and 5 greatgrandchildren, great-grandchildren, brother-AIan(Peggy)Harris-Ogden, sisters- Thelma(Rex) Weaver- Alaska, Alas-ka, and Helen Dillman, Provo. She is preceded in death by her parents & four brothers (Stan, Spencer, Dale, and Earl Harris) and one sister Lillian Blamires. Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 26, 2007, 2:00 P.M. at the LDS Chapel located at 400 West 575 South, Orem. Friends & family may call one hour prior to the funeral service at 1:00 P.M. or from 6:30-8:30 P.M., Friday, May 25, 2007 at the same location. The family wishes to extend their thanks and gratitude to the dedicated and caring staff of The Courtyard at Jamestown over the last 4 years and to the loving and compassionate caregivers with Alpine Home Health and Hospice. Reeves, 50, passed away early Sunday morning, May 20, 2007. She was a wonderful wife, mother, sister and friend. She loved her family. She especially es-pecially loved her 3rd grade class at Shelley Shel-ley Elementary Elemen-tary School and was a great teacher. Karla went back to school and graduated from UVSC in the spring of 2006. She began her first year of teaching in August, 2006. We are grateful that she was almost able to complete her first year. She loved the students and teachers that she worked with. Karla was born April 5, 1957, in Brigham City, Utah to Ken and Donna Newton. She attended school in Brigham City, and graduated grad-uated from Box Elder high school in 1975. She attended school at Utah State University, and served a mission for the LDS church in the Adelaide, Australia mission. She married Todd S. Reeves in the Logan Temple in July of 1982. They were blessed with three children: chil-dren: Kimball, Tricia, and Jessica. She served in many positions in the church and was currently serving as a primary teacher. She had a strong testimony of the gospel and wanted her children to always do what was right. She recently had a surprise birthday party for her 50th birthday. She appreciated good friends and enjoyed spending time with her friends and extended family. Karla is survived by her husband, hus-band, Todd, her children, Kimball, Tricia, and Jessica, her sue sisters, Jane(Lee) Gibson, Jean(Paul) Barleen, Sherrie(Tom) Taylor, Karen(Ben) Smith, Nancy(Norm) Parker, Trudy Phil)Linville, and many other relatives. Funeral services will be held Friday, May 25, at the American Fork 16th Ward chapel, 507 West, 700 North at 11:00 a.m. A viewing will be held Thursday evening at Anderson Mortuary, 49 East 100 North, American Fork, from 6-8 p.m. and at the church from 9:45-10:45 9:45-10:45 on the day of the service. The family wishes to express thanks for all the kindnesses shown to them. Interment will be in the Mantua, Utah cemetery. Sherlin Jon Manning, died May 21, 2007 in Provo, Utah. Born in American Fork, Utah December 10, 1954 the son of Harry Dell and Beth Shoell Manning Man-ning Sr. Sherlin Sher-lin served an LDS Mission to the Colorado Colo-rado Springs Mission. He was an avid sportsman and hunter. He coached little league and pony league baseball and bantam basketball for many years. He coached the American Fork High School automotive auto-motive league. He was employed at the Utah State Developmental Center. He held many callings in the LDS Church including Temple worker. Survived by 1 brolher, Sheldan G. (Vivian) of Syracuse; 1 sister Loralee Manning of Taylorsville; sister-in-law Anna Manning of American Fork; and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his brothers, Harry IX'II, Jr. and Marlow S. Manning. Funeral services will be held Friday, May 25, 2007 at 1 1 am in the American Fork 12th Ward, 673 East 300 North. Friends may call Thursday evening from 6 to 8 pm at the Anderson & Sons Mortuary, 49 E 100 N, American Fork and at the church from 9:45 to 10:45 am prior to the services.
