Sonny Son-ny Cisneros then put his shot into the right corner to set up Balser's game-winner. "We've been working on penalty- kicks and our guys came through," said Orem coach Ed Louder. "Our goalie stopped one and that's what we needed." The shootout provided an exciting finish to a well-played game for both teams. "It was back and forth the whole game," BaLser said. "They were a good team, one of the best we've played this year." During the first 80 minutes, both teams had several chances chanc-es to score but failed to do so, in part due to solid goalkeep-ing goalkeep-ing on both sides, as well as some errant shots. In the first overtime, Bodine almost connected on a beautifully beauti-fully struck free kick from just putside of the penalty box. In the second overtime, the Tigers nearly scored on a corner kick. Orem appeared to be the more aggressive team during overtime, over-time, partly because the Tigers didn't want to see a shootout. "We wanted to end it," Louder said. "You never know what's going to happen in a shootout." I The Tigers played Bountiful on Wednesday afternoon in the 4A semf inals. If Orem won, the Tigers play on Friday at 6 p.m. at Juan Diego against the Provo-Bonneville winner.
