He will be speaking Oct. 12 at 10:50 a.m. in Glines 4th Ward and again at 2:20 p.m. in Glines 2nd Ward. Both services will be at the chapel at 1510 West U.S. Highway 40. Tyler is a senior and Uintah High School where he plays varsity fool-ball fool-ball and plans to continue his education edu-cation after high school. Some of Cook graduates from chaplain course Army Pvt. Ryan L. Cook has graduated from the chaplain assistant assis-tant course at Fori Jackson, Columbia. S. C. The group-paced course stressed religious support, development of interpersonal skills, unit ministry support lo soldiers and family members, provided for services in a battlefield environment and battle fatigue casually care. Religious support classes not only y, 1 1 Dacia Wheeler Brother and sister called to Brazil Dacia Wheeler, daughter of Clint and Taunia Wheeler, has been called to serve an 18-month mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Brazil, Marilia Mission The date of her farewell is Oct. 12 at the Glines Stake Center, Vernal 3rd, 200 S. 500 W. at 12:45 p.m. Wheeler will enter the Missionary Training Center Oct. 15. Tyler Wilhelm his interests include fly fishing, rock climbing, hunting, weight lifting, lift-ing, and making the most out of life. He is currently working at Uintah Packing Company. Brett is a junior at Uintah High School where he plays varsity and junior varsity football. After graduation gradu-ation he will attend college. Some of his interests include basketball, football, track, hunting, fishing, and just having fun. taught students to prepare altars for Protestant, Catholic, Jewish, and Orthodox services, but stressed the importance of knowing about these and other faith groups represented in the Army. The private was an honor graduate of the course. Cook is a graduate of Uintah High School and is the son of Uremia L. Weskamp and Ardcn W. Cook, both of Vernal. Sage Wheeler Sage Wheeler, son of Clint and Taunia Wheeler, has been called to serve a two-year mission for the LDS Church in the Brazil, Ribeirao Preto Mission His farewell is Oct. 12 at Glines Stake Center, 200 S. 500 W. 12:45 p.m. He will enter the Missionary Training Center Oct. 29. Jackie Boren Boren receives recognition Jackie Jo Boren, daughter of Trudy L. and the late Jack L. Boren Jr., received the Young Womanhood Recognition Award during a fireside fire-side held in her honor. The , Young Womanhood Recognition Award is the highest award given to young women in the LDS Church. It is based on their goals, talents, and special efforts. In order to receive this award, the young women are required to complete com-plete four projects. Jackie's projects included; a special Christmas fireside fire-side for the youth and their families, she was also involved in the planning plan-ning of a youth conference held for the Uintah Stake and a stake from Springville. She planned and presented pre-sented devotionals for the youth at the Junior High Seminary, and did clinicals at the Uintah Care Center. Boren is an EMT wiih the Ute Tribe Ambulance Service, and is also al-so a CNA. Boren enjoys being with her friends and family, riding horses, hors-es, being in the mountains, and helping others. Jeanne Robinson Robinson accepted into Who's Who Jeanne Inez Robinson has been nominated to be included in the 31st Annual Edition of "Who's Who Among American High School Students," an honor reserved re-served for only 5 percent of the Nations high school students. Robinson is the daughter of David and Susan Ainge Robinson of Rock Springs.Wyo., formerly of Vernal, and the granddaughter of Jean Ainge of Jensen and Lee and Inez Robinson of Aurora, Colo. Robinson had a 4.0 GPA her senior se-nior year in high school and is currently cur-rently attending Western Wyoming Community College, with a major in pediatric nursing. v., f f v.. t Molly Hanberg Hanberg chosen a leader Molly Hanberg, a junior at Uintah High School, has been selected to attend the National Young Leaders Conference from Oct. 28 to Nov. 3 in Washington, D.C. The National Young Leaders Conference is a unique leadership development program for high school students who have demonstrated demon-strated leadership potential and scholastic merit. Hanberg will be among 350 outstanding National Scholars attending the conference from across America. Throughout the six-day conference, confer-ence, she will interact with key leaders and news makers from the three branches of government, the media and the diplomatic corps. He is currently a member of pack 775 which is sponsored by the LDS Church, Vernal 5th Ward under the leadership leader-ship of Elizabeth Sharp. Lindshoten enjoys playing basketball, basket-ball, bike riding, sketching and origami art. Mat son receives Arrow of Light Award Michael Matson, 11, son of Steve and Kathy Matson of Vernal received re-ceived his Arrow of Light Award during a pack meeting on Sept. 11. Matson belongs to Pack 262 which is sponsored by Ashley 2nd Ward led by Steve Matson. His interests in-terests include soccer, basketball, playing piano and doing well in school. Mayberry, son of Shane and Erin Mayberry of Vernal, received re-ceived his Arrow of Light Award during a pack meeting Sept. 24. Mayberry is a member of Troop 232 under leadership of Mark Durrani and sponsored by Vernal 2nd Ward.
