When these students were in second sec-ond grade a! Ashley Elementary they read "The Best New Thing," by Issac Asimov. They talked about the future and what was important to them. Each student wrote or drew a picture about what they thought they would be doing as seniors se-niors in high school and placed them with a current picture in a time capsule. Second grade teachers teach-ers at that time were Jackie Wilkins. Linda Davis and Teresa Phillips. I'pon opening the capsules it was found that some of the students predictions were right on the mark: M.ircic Iklchcr and Jessica Perry said they would be cheerleaders, and they ate.
