Motorcycle club raises money for children Members of the X-High Rider motorcycle club rode 130 miles Saturday to raise approximately $700 for the Toys for Tots Christmas project. About 28 bikers participated in the event which began at the Vernal IGA and went to Rangely, Colo., and back to Vernal. The club hopes to raise $2,000 to $3,000 to sponsor upwards of 60 families. The project is part of the IGA Gift Tree, which allow people to donate to families in need at Christmas. Each rider in the event donated a toy. In the next 60 days, members of the club will be approaching local businesses for donations "We welcome donations of cash or toys," said Jim Leonard, past club president. The toys can be new or used, but should be in good condition. "As a rule, don't give any toy you wouldn't give to you own children," Leonard said.
