Show CKRIST1ANSCIENCE "Christian- Science" is the sub. ject of the Christian Science Lesson-Sermon for Sunday, June 28. Among the Scriptural references are: "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God." (John 1:1). "Thy word is a lamp unto my feet,- and a light unto my path." Ps. ll9: 105). "And the Lord said unto me, Behold,' I have put my words in thy mouth." (Jer. 1: 9). "And there was a man whose right hand was withered. And looking round about upon them all, he said unto the man, Stretch' forth thy and. And he'4id so, and his hand was restored whole as the other." (Luke 6: 6, 10). "And he opened his mouth, and taught them, saying, Let your light so shine before men that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven." (Matt. 5: 2, 10). The following excerpts are from Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, by Mary Baker Eddy: "Christian Science is dawning upon a material age.' (p. 546: 23). "The rays of infinite Truth, when gathered into the focus of ideas, bring light instantaneously, instan-taneously, whereas a thousand years of human doctrines, hypotheses, hypo-theses, and vague conjectures emit no such effulgence", (p. 504: 23-26). "The Bible has been my only authority. I have had no other guide in "the straight and narrow way of Truth." (p. 126: 29-31). "Christian Science brings to light Truth and its supremacy, universal harmony, the entireness of God, good, and the nothingness of evil." (p. 293: 28-31). |
