Show With theColois From iPrivate Robert W. Martin Fort Lewis, Washington, June 18, 1942. Dear Mr. Williami: I just finished reading the Milford Mil-ford News and enjoyed it so much I thought I would drop you a line. I would have written to you many times before, but I've been on the move so much that I couldn't settle down enough to write and tell you how much we boys appreciate The News. Our parents write and tell us a few ; things but not all, so we wait to get all the details from you. And we especially watch for "With the ! Colors." We like to see what the other boys are doing whether it's navy or army, it's all home town! j Washington is a great state although, al-though, like Californa, it rains like all the time, it seems. We are all working hard and trying to put our best forward, j Keep the old ball a-rollin' and ! good luck to all the other boys. I'll write again some time and maybe then I'll be able to give you some news of what's going on here and there, but until then even the wind has ears! So long for now. Pvt. Robert W. Martin V |
