Show Noted Teacher of Voice to Instruct Edward Sandgren Edward A. Sandgren, music Instructor In-structor in the Cedar City schools has just received word that he has been accepted as a student of Harold Har-old Hurlbut, International voice teacher for an Intensive course of study this coming summer in California. Cali-fornia. Mr. Hurlbut's fame as a voice teacher has become so recognized that he U very selective in his acceptance ac-ceptance of new students. Mr. Hurlbut has taught leading singers of Hollywood Bowl, Southern South-ern California Opera Co., and Na-tilne Na-tilne Conner, leading soprano of the Metropolitan Opera Company, and has the unique distinction of holding hold-ing the written endorsements of many great singers of the Oolden Age of the Metropolitan Opera. Among these Titans of unrivaled artistry were Jean de Reszke, Victor Vic-tor Maurel, Giuseppe Campanarl, and Edmond Clement. From these men Harold Hurlbut learned his profession, which he followed In Paris, Rome, Nice and New York. Thereafter he toured Hie United States for five seasons, holding master classes for singers, teachers, and finally settling in Hollywood. His knowledge of the techniques of the voice won for him the following fol-lowing tribute from the dean of American music critics, Mr. W. J. Henderson of the New York Sun. "Harold Hurlbut, true exponent of bel canto a master of masters." Mr. Sandgren will receive personal person-al Instruction on his own voice as well as a complete course of analysis analy-sis and treatment of all types of voices for the purpose of securing pedagogical skill for use as a private teacher of voice. |
