Show Former BAC Star GetslCoachingJob M Uintah High Jack Woodbury, oldest of the athletic ath-letic Woodbury family of Cedar City and former star football, basketball and track star at the Branch Agricultural Agri-cultural college, has accepted a position po-sition as coach at the Uintah high school at Vernal. He will graduate from the Utah State Agricultural College early in June. He will serve as coach in the high school and Junior high school, and as director of the physical education educa-tion department In the school, also as director of Vernal City recreation re-creation during the summer months. Jack was graduated from Hurricane Hurri-cane high school in 1939, and at tended the Branch Agriculural College Col-lege In 1940 and 1946, where he lettered let-tered In track, football and basketball. basket-ball. He was selected on the 1946 all western Junior College basketball squad. He spent five years in A. A. F. as War Dog trainer. He played end two years on Arizona A A. F. football foot-ball team and was light-heavyweight champion of 1944 Los Angeles Oolden Gloves. In 1947 Jack entered U S A C where he has been active In intramural in-tramural sports. He lettered In track two years and is pitcher on this year's Aggie baseball team. He is also al-so a member of Woodbury Family basketball team which is the State Brothers Team champs and was a member of Grants -Yeates basketball basket-ball team which won the Cache Valley title last winter. |
