Show Cedar High Band Participates in Las Vegas Helldorado The Cedar City h'gh school band returned tiome Monday evening after af-ter a two-day trip to Las Vegas Nevada, where It participated In the annual Helldorado Parade Sunday afternoon. The group made the trip to the Nevada city upon invitation of the officials of the Helldorado celebration, and under the sponsorship sponsor-ship of the Cedar City Chamber of Commerce. The band members left Cedar City Immediately following the Senior high school girl's annual breakfast Sunday morning, and reached Las Vegas in time for the parade at 4 p. m., following this they were the guests of the Las Vegas Elks at the Frontier VUlage and the Helldorado rodeo that evening. They were housed in dormitories at Henderson Sunday night, with Director A. B. Larson ln charge of the boys and Mrs. Larson and Mrs. Hunter Nelson chaperoning the girls. Monday morning one bus load or the students returned to Cedar City since a number of them were scheduled sched-uled to appear in the choral concent con-cent Monday night. The remainder of the group were taken on a tour of Hoover dam before leaving for home. As usual the band made a very creditable showing In the parade and much of the attention of the large crowd was focused on the red and white clad marching and maneuvering man-euvering band from Cedar City. |
