Show Work Projects For Women Suggested Several civic projects have been submitted by the local workers in charge of the C. W. A. program of make-work for women to the county coun-ty committee and the local workers are hopeful of the approval of the county heads that the local women may commence employment at once Included in the projects are a kindergarten for children aside from the nursery school already being held. The new kindergarten would be open to children of five and six years whose parents are not on RFC rolls. Another project is for the employment employ-ment of two women in the public library to assist the librarian in special work, one for the current magazine section and the other for reference work. The third project is for seven women wo-men as local social workers in the lines of nursing, home management and sewing. Two women have already been employed em-ployed to take care of preparing the noon meals served to the kiddies of the kindergarten school for children child-ren whose parents receive RFC help. One of the women is a cook and the other a dietician. Employment of three local women in the state mental hospital has been arranged by the local and county coun-ty committee and these women have already commenced work. Mrs Ora Chipman of the local RFC unit is head of the CWA project pro-ject locally. Mrs. Sadie Bromley is a member of the county committee which investigates the proposed project. |
