Show Am. Fork Locals Melvln Anderson of Los Angeles visited here with friends and relatives rela-tives several days last week. Mayor and Mrs. Wan-en Anderson Ander-son had as their guests for Christmas Christ-mas dinner, Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Thornton and son Blaine of this city. Mr. and Mrs. Wilson Cunningham spent the Christmas holidays in Salt Lake guests of Mrs. Cunningham's sister, Mrs. W. J. Morrison and family. fam-ily. Mr. and Mrs. Dee Strong of Magna Mag-na are the proud parents of a baby son, their first boy, bom December 14th. Mrs. Strong formerly was Miss Jean Shelley of this city. The mother and babe are doing well. Mr. and Mrs. DeJos Dickerson are rejoicing over the arrival of a baby girl, born December 14th. The new arrival has four brothers and the family is very happy over the first daughter. The four sons of the late Adolph and Lorena Grant Peterson are enjoying en-joying a reunion here during the holidays at the home of their grandmother, grand-mother, Mrs. Rosa Grant. Grant resides re-sides in Richfield, Reno in Ogden, Blair in American Fork and Smoot In Pocatello, Idaho. Mr. and Mrs. LeGrande Gudmund-sen Gudmund-sen and daughter of Payson; Mr. and Mrs. W. D. Stewart and family, Mr. and Mrs. George Webb of this city were dinner guests Christmas day of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Chip-man. Chip-man. Miss Velma Shelley, a teacher in the Blandin, Utah, high school, is j spending her holiday vacation here, with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jos. Shelley. Mr. and Mrs. C. Chadwick, ; Misses Edith and Ida Shelley of Salt Lake spent Christmas here with the Shelleys-also. i Mr. and Mrs. James Moffett left this week for Salt Lake to make j their home. Miss Marie McTague of Salt Lake spent Christmas here with her parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. Earl McTague. Miss Ann Clayson, a teacher in the Duchesne schools this year, is spending spend-ing the holidays here. Mr.and Mrs. Leo T. Shelley, Mr. and Mrs. James Shelley motored to Magna Sunday and visited with Mr. and Mrs. Dee Strong and family. Mrs. Jane Robinson and Miss Or-pha Or-pha Robinson of Provo are guests here during the holidays of Mr. and Mrs. E. J. Seastrand and family. Mrs. Samuel Jackson, Mrs. Alice Ashton of Lehi; Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Kirkendall, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Giles of Dividend, spent Christmas day here with Niels Nelson and family. Mrs. James Spencer and sons, Vern and Dale and Miss Lula Wol-verton Wol-verton of Jerome, Idaho, are here for the holidays visiting with friends and relatives. Mrs. W. A. Robinson and Miss Bessie Robinson spent Christmas day in Salt Lake with Mr. and Mrs. W. P. Harrington, They returned home Tuesday. Mr. and iIrs. Ralph Barratt and family of Ogden were dinner guests on Christmas of Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Chadwick. Mr. and Mrs. Basil Walker and family of Pleasant Grove enjoyed dinner Sunday with the Chadwick family. The approaching marriage of Miss Helen Bird was the motif Wednesday Wednes-day b;ght for an enjoyable social affair given by Miss Ann Clayson and Mrs. Lillian C. Booth at the Clayson home. Twenty four guests were bidden. Progressive "Bride" was played, following which a tasty lunch was served. The entertaining rooms were decorated in colors suggestive sug-gestive of the holiday season. Scott A. Christensen, son of Dr. Atlantic and Liza Chipman Christensen Chris-tensen of Salt Lake, formerly of this city, and Miss Betty Van Harten of Salt Lake, were married at Long Beach, Calif., Tuesday, December 12, at the apartment of the groom's uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. C. W. Stults. Mr. and Mrs. Christensen are "keeping house" at 1156 W. Adams Blvd., Los Angeles, and Scott is attending the University of California Cali-fornia Dental college. The annual Christmas party of the Sorosis Club ladies was given last Thursday afternoon at the home oi Mrs. Warren Boley. Eighteen club members were present and enjoyed the afternoon in playing games. A lighted tree and house decorations in holiday style aoded to the enjoyment en-joyment of the occasion. Late in the afternoon a delicious lunch waj served. An exchange of Christmas gifts was a feature of the afternoon Prizes for the games were awardec to Mesdames Jarvis Aydelotte, A. There was general mourning foi a time Sunday evening in the vicinity vici-nity of the Warren Boley hom when word went forth that "Faw-nie", "Faw-nie", the young deer reared by th Boleys had been struck by a cai and fatally injured on the Stat( highway near the Boley home. Th animal was found when but verj young and befriended by the Boley; , at their sheep herd. It was brough here and raised on a bottle and a nine months of age had develope into a beautiful pet with which al the children of the nelghborhooc played.
