This helps you see what the competitors are doing. So, be sure and take your pad and pencil along to not only notice prices, but also any good ideas that other shopkeepers are doing. Watch the customers and notice what they are buying. Try to become aware of the fine difference between garbage and garage material. If, after cleaning out, you find you dont have as much stuff as you thought, combine forces with a couple of friends. Here are a few hints to get you started. 1. Pricing demands the most thought. High prices will scare the customers away, but too low prices will not make it worthwhile for you . 2. Have some one price tables - everything on a particular table selling for the same price. 3. Keep toys separate from the rest. Let shoppers kids play with them. 4. Youll need publicity - run an ad in the newspaper and make and put up signs at the corners of the streets near your house. 5. Be sure and be organized ahead of time - dont scare anybody off by trying to rush them into a purchase. Let them look. And thats it ! So quit stalling and clean that basement. EgfflMi ESmBUSHMEH?
