David Strand, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Strand, recently graduated cum laude from Heidelberg College in Tiffin, Ohio, with a Bachelor of Music degree. n and respected for exHeidelberg College is cellence in the area of music. The return flight was unusual in that David had to purchase an extra Vz seat for his bass violin. Normally, a packing case is sufficient; however, a packing case costs $200 vs. a fare of $60. Nostalgia permeated the air as Park City High School alumni gathered for their school reunion on Saturday, May 25th, at the Cest Bon Hotel. Classes dating as far back as 1911 were represented by the more than 300 persons in attendance. The annual reunion has been held continuously since 1902 and, according to research done by Dan Valentine of the Salt Lake Tribune, is the oldest such organization still active in the world. The Park City Alumni Association has approximately 1500 members . n local historian, graduated Fraser Buck, from PCHS in 1911 and receive! a prize for the oldest graduate present. Hot on his heels was Alice ONeil from the Class of 1913. The prize for the farthest distance traveled went to Vicki Leatham Green who journeyed from Hawaii to be ) 1 t j TRIVIA TEST t c c c ( ( ( ( ( c ( t c The winner of last weeks Trivia Test is Mr. Norm Miller, a teacher at Park City High School. Mr. Miller correctly identified Trigger as Roy Rodgers horse, the Orlons as the singing artists, who recorded South Street, and Maryland as the state in which Spiro Agnew served as governor. The Park City Recreation Department is conducting a donation drive to assist their summer program. Items of particular interest are old clothing and hats with which to make childrens costumes, any type of sporting equip- ment, paint, fabric, yarn, and lumber scraps, gardening tools, old pots and pans or other kitchen supplies, musical instruments such as tamborines. and drums, and old magazines, books and games. Any other usable articles would also be appreciated, and all donations should be brought to the City Park on Registration Day, June 1st, between 9 AM and noon. to Anyone having free time which they would like utilize by helping with the various summer programs is encouraged to contract Recreation Director Kathy Kocinski at PARK AND MEMORIAL BUILDING RESERVATIONS The facilities of the City Park and the Memorial Building may be reserved for use by contacting Kathy Kocinski at 649-812- 5. PROVO KIDS VISIT On Friday, May 24th, students from Edgemont Elementary School in Provo visited Park City.
