Show Board Plans Lunch Kitchen Authorization to remodel the basement of the Summit school building in Smithfield for a hot lunch kitchen and dining room was granted Thursday by the Cache county board of education, it vas announced today by Lloyd M. Theurer, district clerk. The new kitchen will replace the one operated in the old Merrill home next to the Summit build ii.g, he said. The board announced that the old building will be of. fered for sale immediately to the highest bidder. The board also authorized Mr. Theurei to proceed with the necessary ne-cessary applications to obtain a priority to purchase two new school buses fo the county transportation trans-portation system. According to their replacement program, two buses will have outlived their usefulness this year and will be replaced, if possible, to keep the vehicles up to safety standards.' Mr. Theurer was given permission permis-sion to attend a traffic safety council meeting in Salt Lake City on January 14. E. M. Bickmore of Paradise, board member from the south, eastern Cache district, was sworn in for another five year term. He was elected over John A. Israelsen last December 1. |
