Show WAR CHEST SETS MEET The annual meeting of the Cache County War Chest organization organi-zation will be held Monday, January 17 at 7:30 p.m. in the chamber of commerce headquarters, headquar-ters, it was announced today by W. W. Richards, chairman. All cities and communities of the county and civic organizations who have membership in the war chest are expected to be present at the annual meeting to hear the financail report and elect directors and officers to serve during the coming year. In reporting on the recent drive Mr. Richards announced that Noble Chambers, chairman of the Smithfield drive, checked in $100 to put that community over its quota for the drive. Other communities com-munities reaching their quotas recently re-cently are Providence and Hyde Park and President Richards reports re-ports that quotas for Logan city wards and the business district also were achieved. He announced that the books of the war chest will remain open and if any communities which have not reached their quotas desire to continue work, any amounts will be gratefully received. TIae war chest is composed of various relief agencies, including the USO, United China Relief, Russian Relief, Queen Wilhelmina j Fund and many others. |
