For Lt Keith Nebeker Funeral services for First Lt. Keith Gardner Nebeker, 28, Naval flier, who lost his life in a plane accident last Thursday near New Orleans, La., will be conducted today to-day at 1 p.m., in the Eighth ward ehapek . Friends may call at the Claudin Funeral Home here from 10 a.m., until time of the service. Burial will be in the Evergreen cemetery. ceme-tery. Lt. Nebeker was practicing nite flying at the Naval Air Station, when his' Corsair fighter crashed and sank in Lake Pontchartrian.' He was making his.next-to-the-last flight in a Navy refresher course, when the accident occurred. Lt. Nebeker was born in Los Angeles, Calif., January 1, 1924, a son of E. Harmer and Gwen Nebeker. Neb-eker. His parents reside at 241 West Seventh South Street. He at-tendde at-tendde Springville schools and graduated from the local high school. He became a naval air cadet in 1942. and was commissioned a fighter pilot. He served four years in the South Pacific during World War II and received the Air Medal and Distinguished Flying Cross. He went into the service again on March 1 and was stationed in New Orleans. He married Lorraine Irick in April, 1944. He was a member of the LDS church. Survivors include his widow and two sons, Ronald Allen, 6 and Robert Rob-ert Lynn 2, who had been living in New Orleans; his parents and two brothers and a sister, Max.Dcl-lis Max.Dcl-lis Nebeker, Castle Pock, Wash.; Leon Gene Nebeker, Hamilton, Mont.; Miss Elva Darlene Nebeker, Springville; a grandfather, Wm. Nebeker, Pedondo Beach, Calif. |
