Show Red Devils to Compete in Regional Track, Tennis Meet Friday at Y Springville's Nebo district traek winners will attempt at-tempt to duplicate that record Friday afternoon at the BYU field when the Region Three track' meet will be held. Coach George Pehrson has a good squad and should garner firsts in the spring and weight events. At least one first in the relays should be made also. In Warren Schouten, Coach Pehrson has discovered a very promising track star. Schouten is only a Junior at high school and has already placed tops in the 100 and the 220 in both district and at the Y Invitational. Billie Bird and Gerry Childs are good point getters get-ters in the shot and discuss, and javelin and should bring some important im-portant counters to Springvillei's i total. First, second and third place ; winners will qualify for the state track finals on May 9. Tennis competition will be held on a regional basis also and Coach Paul Wilson will have some strong contenders swinging the rackets. Phil Haymond and Doug Smoot, outstanding doubles players in the state, should go a long way in the meet. Several other Springville players will also be in the limelight. lime-light. Devils Win District ... By half a point, 59-58 the Springville team won the Nebo crown from Payson last Wednesday Wednes-day at Spanish Fork. Springville took seven firsts to grab the title.
