Show J BOX ELDER JOURNAL, Weekly Events Slated Obituaries For Senior Gtizens By Phone If you listen you can hear the faint ringing of school bells this morning and here we are with only hours left until the kids will be back at their desks. Just like the old days theyve got to get their hair cut and put on their shoes. I hope its a happy time for most kids. Of course therell always be those who go reluctantly but I like to think that the majority are looking forward to it. It takes a few years out in the University of Hard Knocks to really appreciate the carefree life of home and those good old days of readin rltin and rith-meti- c. Weve got some newsy little items that have been drifting over the Party Line wires the last few days, so get comfy and lets have our little visit. Attracts Visitors More than a little interested in our tourist attractions were Mr. and Mrs. Richard Reeves and children Diane and Douglas of New Jersey. Reeves is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Vincent Reeves who are former Brighamites and he has a number of aunts, uncles and cousins who still make their home here. He is affiliated with WCBS in New York in an administrative capacity and also does some broadcasting. He was very much impressed with his visit to the Golden Spike site and the reenactment ceremony. He liked it so much, in fact, that he hopes to broadcast it over their facilities in the East and talked with the officials of the Promontory production about that possbility. He also toured the Bird Refuge and was so complimentary about our city and facilities here. The Reeves family had a in the garden at the Royal Reeves home while the visitors were here. They enjoyed a luncheon on the patio and had a good time getting acquainted. On hand for the family gathering were Mrs. Lucille Jones and her children, Mr. and Mrs. Max Walker and family of Tremonton; Mr. and Mrs. Ron Rock and Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Jones, Jr. of this city; Mrs. Glen Reeves, Mrs. LaVern Keyes and her son and family, Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Keyes, Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Reeves and their sons and families, Mr. and Mrs. Dwight Reeves and Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Reeves all of this city; Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Reeves and family of Salt Lake City; Mrs. Beth Watkins and family of Clearfield and Mr. and Mrs. Jack (Vaudis) Smith of Ogden. er Visits from California The Clarence Burrups have been so happy to have their and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Roger Kent and children Teressa and Linda visiting here from their home in San Jose, Calif.
