Reports on the typhoid situation for the past twenty-four hours record one death, and two new cases in the. town of Palo Alto. Minnie Blake, a high school girl, aged 18, and daughter of John Blake, proprietor of the Stanford meat market, died yesterday. The new patients stricken today are T. P. femerson and II. Anderson, both non-student non-student residents of Palo .Alto, One other " death reported here is that of Jimpo Kanada; 1906. a Japanese student, stu-dent, who was taken three weeks ago to San Francisco. The physicians of both Palo Alto and the university campus state that the coming week will be extremely critical and that several deaths are to' be expected ex-pected from among the number of thoaa now suffering from the fever. The three-week period of incubation expires ex-pires today, and , no more new cases are looked for. |
