Show CITY COUNCIL. City Council convened Monday night In regular session with a full attendance attend-ance of city officials. It appearing that the Commercial Club had not finished their contract on trench digging at the Fair grounds, the recorder was Instructed to notify the club to finish same. The council decided to inspect the head of the water system with a view to regulating the water supply. A committee was appointed to draft a search and seizure ordinance in conformity con-formity with the state laws, to be used in putting down more effectively illegal liquor selling In the city. Claims covering work on water system, sys-tem, cleaning city streets and ditches aggregating 1425.80 were allowed. The council ordered that water rates be collected beginning with January 11, 1911, and the rate be fixed at 13 per year In advance.' Taxes were remitted for a number of widows. ' The committee on Hall and Grounds was Instructed to make some belter so rangements with school boarC. concerning con-cerning the use of' the City Hall by the school for woodwork and manual training classes. |
