Show MITCHELL AGAIN SENTENCED FOR CONTEMPT OF COURT Appeal Is Taken, and Ball Bond of $4000 Is Furnished. Washington, July 23. John Mitchell, Mitch-ell, vice president of the American Federation of Labor, today was sentenced sen-tenced In the District of Columbia supremo su-premo court to nine months-Imprisonment for contempt of court, growing grow-ing out of the Duck Stove and Range company case. An appeal was taken nnd $1000 ball furnished to abide bv the deci sion of tho court. In tho samo case President Samuel Gompors recently was sentenced to ono year, nnd Secretary Frank Morrison Morri-son to six months. Mr. Mitchell was not In court, but sont a written statement waiving his right to bo present. He was to havo been sentenced last week, but Justice Wright then declined to pass sentence because ho objected to tho form of waiver submitted for Mr. Mitchell. |
