Show CHILD DROWNED IN WEBER RIVER Ogden, July 23. Clydo Williams Jarman, ten years old son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph U. Jarman of 30C0 Ogden avenue was drowned this afternoon while swimming In the Weber river abovo tho dam. Clyde, with somo of his companions left homo nbout noon. They had Been in tho water some time when ho called to the other boys to watch llm dive, In diving ho went out Into tho deep wnter and wbb unable to resist re-sist the undertow, which carried him down. When he failed to come up to the top his companions became alarmed and called fo'r help. 12. Williamson, who happened to be In tho neighborhood, heard cries and rushed to tho scene. Ho dovo for the body, but could not find It. After dragging the river for two hours Sergeant Charles Lane and Detective Ilobert Chambers finally succeeded In- recovering tho body, which had become lodged in brush fifty feet from whero the boy went down.
