Herald December 23, 197 Vivacious Ann Memory, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Memory, reigned as Christmas queen at the Utah Technical College of Provo ball Wednesday night after winning the honor Social YoteS Mr. and Mrs. Elvin Sumsion recently enjoyed a two week's vacation in Santa Ana and Garden Grove, California where they went to see their granddaughter, grand-daughter, Nola Peery, daughter of Reid and Elsie S. Peery married to John Hoffman in the Los Angeles Temple. Both newlyweds are from Santa Ana and are attending the university at Moscow, Idaho. Mr. and Mrs. Sumsion accompanied ac-companied their son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Keith Sumsion, to Calif. The latter returned following the wedding and Mr. and Mrs. Elvin Sumsion spent Thanksgiving at the home of their daughter Beverly Miller and family in Garden Grove. Joining them for the wedding and Thanksgiving dinner were Mr. and Mrs. Tom Maloy and family, a daughter of Mrs. Miller. The Elvin Sumsions returned home by jet. Mrs. Edith T. This dessert is quick to prepare since you use bottled eggnog and whipped cream spiced with nutmeg. And the secret of holding the mixture high and firm is using unflavored gelatine which lets the natural holiday flavor of eggnog come through. An added holiday plus is that you can make this towering dessert in the morning and have it all set for dinner, with a minimum of work. Christmas Eggnog Bavarian 2 envelopes unflavored gelatine Vi cup sugar 1 1 can (29 ounces) fruit cocktail 1 3 cups commercially 1 prepared eeenoe Mix together gelatine and sugar in saucepan. Drain 1 cup syrup from fruit cocktail; add to gelatine-sugar mixture. Place over medium heat, stirring constantly 3 to 4 minutes until gelatine is dissolved. Remove from heat; stir in eggnog. Add nutmeg and flavoring, if desired. Chill until mixture is the consistency of unbeaten egg white. Fold in whipped cream Turn into a 6-cup mold; chill until firm. Add Curacao to remaining re-maining fruit cocktail for sauce; chill. Unmold Bavarian and serve with fruit cocktail sauce. YIELD: 8 servings. Karen, Catherine Dixie Aureole Club holds Christinas party Aureole Club members held their annual Christmas Party at the home of Lucille Johnson last week. President Lucy Johnson greeted the members. The pledge of allegiance was led by Lucille Johnson. The club collect was read by Margaret Carter. A delicious buffet dinner was prepared by hostesses Lucille Johnson, Lucille Laney, Margaret Carter, Dorothy Willis, and Allie Goble. Aluana and Sherree Huff gave humorous reading of "The Night Before Christmas". Mary Schwartz Sch-wartz told of the different customs at Christmas-time in other countires. Members then told of their own family customs and traditions for the holiday. Dorothy Collings played Christmas songs with the group joining in singing. A gift exchange ex-change was held among the members. Tender care aids despondent ones Charlie is quite elderly. He supports himself with odd jobs. He has no education and no family. His arthritis has limited his ability to work. Charlie became despondent just before Christmas a couple of years ago, and took an overdose of drugs. While recuperating in a county hospital, a Salvation Army League of Mercy volunteer volun-teer encouraged Charlie to go to one of the Army's Harbor Light Centers. At the center, Charlie received psychological, medical, spiritual and vocation quidance. Living amid pleasant surroundings and enjoyable companionship, Charlie improved im-proved tremendously. He is now among the many volunteers who serve dinner each Christmas to hundreds of senior guests who are invited to the center for a holiday banquet.
