Trilll Descendants of charterers being sought The Utah State Historical Society has issued a call for descendants of its seventy-four charter members to step forth and identify themselves. According to Melvin T. Smith, director, the Society will celebrate its seventy-fifth anniversary an-niversary in 1972. Special yearlong year-long activities are planned, beginning with Statehood Day, January 4. The Society hopes to honor descendants of its founders foun-ders at the Statehood Day ceremonies to be held in the City and County Building, Mr. Smith Said. Graphic works displayed at Y Thirty Newly created graphic works which document the vital and vigorous printmaking activities of today are currently on display in Brigham Young University's Harris Fine Arts Center 4th floor gallery. The art exhibit includes signed original works, serigraphs, lithographs, etchings and newly developed photo techniques. Sponsored by the Pratt-Graphics Institute of New York, the exhibit entitled "New Directions in Printmaking" will continue through December 31. The varied selection of prints includes the art forms of OP and POP as well as Abstract and Lyrical Expressionism. Artists represent in the collection include Lichtenstein, Anuskiewicz, Warhol, Dear Santa Claus Thank you for the toys you gave us last year. Wilkinson Center Art Gallery on the Brigham Young University campus. Born in Galicia, Spain in 1906, he studied at the School of Fine Arts of San Fernando in Madrid. The exhibit is accompanied by poetry written by Mrs. Garcia-Lema Garcia-Lema explaing each painting. A lecturer and writer in addition to his painting, Mrs. Garcia-Lema is the author of two books "Furrow and Seed" and "Presence." He was sent to the Argentine Republic in 1935 as a delegate of Art from Spain; and his paintings pain-tings are on exhibit in galleries, universities and museums in Argentina, Brazil, Columbia, the Domincan Republic, Hati, Mexico, Portugal, Puerto Rico, Spain, the United States and Venezuela. The BYU exhibit will continue through December 24. Community School activity night at the high school gym for Monday, Dec. 27'will be for those residing in the confines of the Sixth Ward. Peterson of the Divion of Continuing Education. Reduced fees will be in effect immediately for this age group and will permit those who are sixty and over to enroll in any course offered by the Department Depart-ment of Evening Classes for a tuition fee of $10 per course. The decision to reduce the fees followed action Tuesday by the Department of Evening Classes Advisory Council upon the recommendation of Dr. Frank Santiago, chairman, evening classes, and William R. Sid-doway, Sid-doway, assistant academic vice president. Students will be permitted to enroll as auditors on a "space available" basis only, and those desiring credit would be required to register pursuant to current departmental procedures, tuitions, and fees.
