HURRICANE, Utah The Hum-Oregon Hum-Oregon cane nigll school play, "The -ansicnl Enemy", by Channing Pollock, was presented here on January 17 !S are l and 18 and again on January pard, o( 22 in St. George with a final Lorenzt presentation in Springdale on yo., ani January 23. min o: "The Enemy" takes place in the ;re abli Vienna of 1914, but it might have happened as well in the Vienna of 1940. It brought back memories to veterans and gave younger people a better understanding of the horrors of war. The cast included: Clark Bal-lard, Bal-lard, Hugh Neilson, Eileen Woodbury. Don Stout (who replaced re-placed his brother, Dilworth, who is ill), Ardelle Demille, Robert Homer, Merline Stevens, LaVerd Wright. Grant Cornelius and Fayne Jepson. The play was under the direction of Miss Ruth Wall with student assistant. Alda Hinton. Mr. Burgener and his high school orchestra furnished musical numbers. Other student r helpers included Jay Jackson, stage manager and Rulon Woodbury Wood-bury and Gordon Stout, sound technicians: Robert Homer, electric elec-tric functions. |
