Show PRIMARY ELECTIONS HOLD SPOTLIGHT AT C OF C MEET Chamber Members To Nominate Eight Tuesday; Crusade For Freedom Talk Slated Two items o general interest are slated for the monthly Chamber Cham-ber of Commerce meeting at Beau Brummel Restaurant, 3100 Highland Drive, Tuesday at 12 o'clock noon. Speaker will be Robert Poe, former U. S. Army Air Force pilot. He will speak on ".Crusade for Freedom." Primary elections will be held at the meeting, D. James Cannon, Can-non, executive secretary, announced an-nounced Wednesday. Ballots with the names of all chamber members will be distributed for members to nominate eight for office. Final elections will be held at the October meeting when the members will elect four from the list of eight nominees nomi-nees to serve on the board of directors. Election procedure followed by the Sugar House Chamber of Commerce ds to have the newly elected board members then meet with the incumbent .board members and elect the officers for the coming year. Present officers and board members of the chamber are: A. W. (Mickey) Hart, president; presi-dent; Marriner H. Merrill, first vice p: esident; Dale R. Curtis, second vice president; Frederick R. Lawson, treasurer; M. I,. (Bud) Brain, immediate past president and director; Stephen ,C. Richards and Richard A, Lambert, directors. D. James ' Cannon is executive secretary. ' Clwmber officials whose terms expire with the election, next month of new board members are Mr. Lambert, Mr. Curtis, Mr. Brain and Mr. Richards., Incumbent board members -i-o "'ill serve another year are Mr. Hart, Mr. Merrill and Mr. Lawson. |
