Show Doing The Town By ELAINE CANNON East Mill Creek youth leaders had a social this week in the Grandview Ward. Dr. Robert Sweeten led the group in square dancing with Mickey Hart on hand to help get everybody in on the fun. Saw Dr. and Mrs. M. R. Davis. . . Mr. and Mrs. Ed Evans (she looking casually chic in a straight skirt vith a green tweed belted jacket and Mary Jane shoes) . . Mr. and Mrs. Shirl Cook talking with the Milt Widdisons . . . Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Voorhees . . Wesley Emery and Loftis Sheffield waving hello . . . Bishop and Mrs. Les Goates ... Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Ehlers ...their son Jack with Joan Pearson. Hewlett Jr., Mr. and Mrs. Robert Richards, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Ward. So good to see Dr. and Mrs. Bud Jackson home again. They have returned to 1328 Westminster Westmin-ster avenue after having spent the summer in various Montana cities. Young Stevie started to Kindergarten. at the Garfield but the twins, Dickie and Bobie, will keep their mother company for another year or two. Mrs. Jack Adamson was host at an evening party for a group of her friends . . including Mrs. Lyle Ward, Mrs. Scott Clawson, Mrs. J. Allen Jensen, Mrs. Jay Quinin, Mrs. Howard Haynes, Mrs. Joseph Wirthlln. At the lovely announcement tea given by Mrs. Stephen G. Covey for her daughter, Marilyn, Mari-lyn, we saw the benedict's (Clayton Williams) sister, Mrs. Wood Worsley in a striking strik-ing print dress and sister-in-law, Marian .Tudd Williams in a dramatic red lace ballerina. Also greeting guests were Marilyn's sisters, Mrs. Ned Williams and Mrs. Cal Gad-dis Gad-dis . . saw Mrs. A. Clifton Jacobsen and Mrs. Lynn Richards Rich-ards pouring. Guests in the garden . . . Mrs. Ray G. Wood and daughter, Francilia . . . Carol Ellison . . . Mrs. Fred W. Mclntyre and Mrs. John James . . . Celebrating his victory in the recent primaries, Aldon Jr. Anderson, his wife Virginia, were guests of Mr. Anderson's parents at a dinner at the Alta Club It was strictly a family affair but they chatted with many friends during the evening . . . Mr. and Mrs. S. G'.over Rich with their son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Alan Brockbank, and their son and daughter-in-law, S. Grover Jr. and Ruth. Also seen at the Alta club that evening were Mr. and Mrs. Richmond T. Harris and Mrs. Harris' mother, Mrs. Irene Brainard. The two little Harris daughters were along, too. |
