Show Utah Water Users Set Convention Sept. 18-19 j The annual meeting of the Utah Water Users' Association will be held in the governor's board room, State Capitol, on Sept 18-19, according to T. W. Jensen, secretary-manager. The theme will be "Water Conservation and Development in Action." Highlights o f the Monday , (Sept. 18) morning session will be report of activities of the Utah Water and Power Board, William R. Wallace, president of the organization, and a talk by George Lawrence, engineer for the Soil Conservation Service, Serv-ice, "What the Soil Conservation Is Now Doing in the State of Utah." This will be illustrated with pictures. The afternoon session will feature talks by experts on what is being done in Utah and the West in water and power development devel-opment Tuesday's session (Sept. 19), beginning at 10 a.m., will be a business meeting of officers' reports, re-ports, Mr. Jensen said. The afternoon meeting will deal with the Colorado River development and its meaning to the people of this region. |
