I With unity, party loyalty and good will as the dominant note more than 225 Democrats from Pro-vo Pro-vo and Utah county gat hered at the annual Jefferson day banquet. Ballif, Provo; Wallace W. Brock-bank, Brock-bank, Spanish Fork; George Fisher, Keetley; Mrs. Inez Knight Allen, Provo, national committee-woman; committee-woman; Delbert M. Draper, Salt Lake, state chairman and Mrs. James H. Wolfe, Salt Lake, state chairwoman. The banquet committee was headed by Ralph Morgan, Spanish i Fork, assisted by Mrs. Sterling Taylor, Mrs. George S. Ballif and Mrs. Minnie Pen rod of Provo. The banquet was prepared and served by the women of the First ward Relief society under the direction ; of Mrs. J. A. Buttle. Vocal solos were sung by Alberta Mendenhall, Springville and Mrs. Nola Nilsson, Provo. The auxiliary quartet consisting of Mrs. Seymour Gray, Mrs. Amanda Banks, Mrs. Sterling Taylor and Mrs. Nola Nilsson sang several numbers, accompanied ac-companied by Mrs. Zenith Johnson. Community singing which opened the affair was led by Mrs. Sterling Taylor. |
